Section 12
The City Collective Project
To capture the energy of Gen Z and young millennials seeking roots amidst a loneliness epidemic, this initiative serves as a residential formation house — an urban Node — designed to be a training ground for founding circles of eight individuals who commit to a shared Rule of Life.
The vanguard mission aims to recruit 10–15 young men and 10–15 young women to engage in a 12-month program involving structured daily routines and community service in exchange for housing. By grounding professional skills in communal virtue, the program prepares participants to become the founders and leaders of future rural and suburban Village Nodes.
The Four Pillars: Rule of Life
Daily Prayer
Anchoring the day in common prayer, such as the Liturgy of the Hours or the Rosary.
Confession & Sacraments
Regular participation in communal liturgical life and weekly Mass.
Physical Discipline
Training the body through fasting, physical exercise, and sobriety.
Study & Formation
Deepening understanding of the Catholic intellectual tradition through shared reading and discussion, ensuring stewards are grounded in communal virtue and professional excellence.
Participants engage in hands-on work projects to improve local infrastructure and participate in a curriculum focused on community building, allowing graduates to be eligible for permanent placement within the village initiative as long-term stewards.
